Inspired by the photo that Mary sent me

Στη γιαγιά μου

Θυμάμαι εκείνες τις βραδιές

μπροστά από το τζάκι

και τη γιαγιά την έμορφη

την πιο γλυκολαλούσα.

Πριγκήπισσά σου μ' έλεγες,

για δράκους μου μιλούσες,

για ξωτικά και μάγισσες

και πάντα με φιλούσες.

Χιονάτες μα και πρίγκηπες,

στρουμφάκια και νανάκια,

τα παραμύθια που αγαπώ

και στην καρδιά φωλιάζω.

Αναπολώ, χαμογελώ,

παντοτινά θαυμάζω

την καλοσύνη της ψυχής,

γιαγιά μου σε φωνάζω.

Κι αν είσαι τώρα άγγελος

εκεί ψηλά στα ουράνια

μ' ακούς, το ξέρω τώρα πια

στ' ονείρου μου τα χάδια.
