Θυμάμαι.

Σαν άνεμος να τρέχεις,

να σκορπίζεις πέρα τη χαρά.

Σαν τη φωτιά να παίζεις,

να μαζεύεις γύρω σου παιδιά.

Θυμάμαι.

Σαν άγριο άτι να καλπάζεις

μες τα ψηλά βουνά.

Σαν ήλιος να θερμαίνεις

τη λυπημένη μου καρδιά.

Θυμάμαι.

Ήσουν ελεύθερος

κι εγώ χαμογελούσα.

Το χιόνι όμως δεν άργησε

αν και το αμελούσα.

Κι ύστερα πάει, πέταξε κείνο το χελιδόνι,
